Each Business Unit uses an Email Identity to send Customer Messages and receive replies. Set up that sending address before your team sends Messages or runs email Workflows.
Before you start
You must be an Organization Owner or Organization Admin. The Business Unit must already exist.
Choose a sender display name that your Customers recognize and the part of the email address before @, such as collections.
Create the sending address
- Open Setup and select the Email step.
- Find the correct Business Group and Business Unit.
- Check the sending domain shown for that Unit. If the page says No DNS setup is needed, you can use that domain directly.
- Enter the Sender display name.
- Enter the Email address part before
@. Check the domain displayed beside it. - Select Create sending inbox.
- Use Refresh inbox status to check progress. When setup succeeds, the page shows Inbox connected and the full sending address.
Creating the address does not send an email. You can then compose a Customer Message from a Receivable Account.
Use your own sending domain
This step is optional when an app-provided sending domain is available. You need access to your domain's DNS settings to use your own domain.
- Expand Use your own domain (optional).
- Enter a dedicated Sending subdomain, such as
mail.example.com. - Enter your Existing staff email domain, such as
example.com. Keep your staff email service on its existing domain. - Select Get DNS records.
- Add the records shown by Revyo at your DNS provider. Copy the names and values carefully; some providers add the root domain to record names automatically.
- Return to Revyo and select Check DNS verification. Wait for Domain verified before creating the inbox. If verification is still pending, the page shows when you can check again.
If a sending domain is not ready, inbox creation stays disabled. Changing a domain setting does not change an existing inbox address.
If setup needs attention
Read the error shown for the Business Unit. Use Retry inbox setup for an interrupted setup, then Refresh inbox status. Retrying setup reuses the same inbox.
If an older address cannot send, follow the replacement message shown on the page. Creating a replacement is different from retrying the current setup and can use another inbox slot. If you need help, include the Business Unit, sending address, and error text in a support ticket.
