You can create a Customer directly in Revyo Collect. This is useful when your receivables do not come from a connected accounting system.
Before you start
Your Organization needs an active Business Unit. You need permission to record collection work in that Business Unit. If you cannot open the new Customer page, ask your Organization Owner or Organization Admin to check your access.
Create the Customer
- Sign in to Revyo Collect and open Receivable accounts.
- Select New Customer, or open the new Customer page.
- Select the Business Unit that owns the Customer.
- Enter the Customer name.
- Enter a Contact email if you have one. This field is optional.
- Select Create Customer.
The Customer belongs to the Business Unit you selected. You can then add Invoices and manage collection work for its Receivable Account.
How manual records work
A Manual Customer and its Manual Invoices are independent of a connected Ledger. Creating a Customer in Revyo does not create a Customer in QuickBooks or another accounting system.
If the same legal debtor owes money to more than one Business Unit, each Business Unit has its own Customer. Revyo uses a Party to represent the legal debtor across those Customers.
If you cannot create the Customer
Check that you selected an active Business Unit and entered a Customer name. Read any error shown below the form. If you still need help, submit a support ticket with the Business Unit name and the error message.
